CERA - Residential Property Development

The Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority has recently released a Request for Information (RFI) to the residential property development sector. The purpose of the RFI is to better understand the availability of developments to meet future potential requirements during the rebuilding of Christchurch.

This information will enable CERA to form a view on potential future housing supply and what might be required to support the private housing market return to normal as soon as possible. This may result in CERA exercising its powers to remove current constraints to development for particular areas of land.

This provides an opportunity for persons with an interest in property development in Christchurch to potentially advance development of their land. For further information and to view a copy of the RFI, please click here. Responses are due to the RFI by midday on Monday 13 June.

We are currently building up our knowledge and understanding of CERA’s activities, process and people to facilitate engagement with CERA. In addition, we are experienced in land development projects and happy to assist as required. If you need any help or have any questions about the RFI (or the process that may follow) please contact us.
