Adderley Head Presents Earthquake Recovery Seminar

On 30 August, the Adderley Head team (along with Bronwyn Arthur, Chief Legal Advisor from CERA) presented a seminar to members of the New Zealand Law Society and the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. The subject of the seminar was the impact of the CERA legislation on urban planning in Greater Christchurch.

Topics covered in seminar included:

  • the key features and implications of the recently released Central City Plan;

  • the purpose and likely content of the soon to be released Recovery Strategy; and

  • the wide range of other powers available under the new legislation to circumvent or fast track the usual RMA processes.
