My career to date

I began practising in the area of resource management and environmental law over 20 years ago, with a national New Zealand firm. Since that time I have practised exclusively in this area of law in New Zealand, London and Sydney. I have extensive experience advising on industrial, commercial and residential developments and major infrastructure projects. I provide resource mangement and environmental law advice to clients across a range of industries including agriculture, education, construction and development and am experienced in dealing with various environmental issues, such as contaminated land.

What I enjoy about my work

I enjoy the variety of work that I do within this specialised area of the law, from advising clients in relation to urban development projects, to providing environmental due diligence advice in relation to commercial transactions and representing clients in Court hearings. I enjoy getting to know my clients and assisting them in resolving legal issues and challenges they encounter across a range for issues from resource consenting, planning and compliance to dispute resolution.

What you can expect from me

My clients benefit from my ability to identify legal issues quickly and focus on solutions that are timely and commercial.

What I enjoy outside of work

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my three young children and getting out into the amazing outdoors that we are lucky enough to have on our doorstep in Christchurch.
