" ...we were particularly pleased with David's willingness to listen, his prompt response to any questions we had, and the preparation of the required documentation to an excellent standard. He explained complex situations simply and gave clear, rational advice."
My career to date
After completing a double degree in law and Science at the University of Canterbury, I started in the resource management law team of Anthony Harper Lawyers in 2007. Two years later, I joined the rest of the team to set up Adderley Head as a specialist resource management law firm.
With a career solely focussed on resource management law, I have experience in a wide range of resource management matters, including consent applications, plan changes, strategic advice and hearings before local authorities and the Environment Court.
What I enjoy about my work
Resource management provides the opportunity to get involved with some exciting and innovative projects that shape the world around us. I enjoy working with clients, the team at Adderley Head, and experts from a range of disciplines to help find long term solutions to the various challenges this involves.
What you can expect from me
First and foremost, you can expect someone who will take the time to understand what is important to you and what you are seeking to achieve. At times, the law can be complex and confusing. I focus on simplifying this complexity and assisting our clients in achieving the best possible outcome.
What I enjoy outside of work
I enjoy getting outdoors and pursuing a range of different sporting activities, including soccer and road cycling. I also love travelling around New Zealand and abroad whenever the opportunity arises, with my latest trip taking me to Croatia and Slovenia. I also have two young sons who easily take up any spare time I have left!
